Edible Arrangements-The Perfect Halloween Treat
My absolute favorite holiday of the year is Halloween. I love decorating the house, buying costumes for the kids, carving pumpkins, cooler weather, making crafts, the list goes on and on. We get invited to quite a few Halloween parties each year and I am always at a loss as what to bring. Sure, we can bring a bottle of wine or some kind of dessert but i like to bring things that are unique and memorable.
This past week I had the chance to sample a gorgeous fruit arrangement from edible arrangements. Not only does this basket make the perfect gift but it is healthy for you, and your recipients can reuse the tin basket it comes in. With so much candy being eaten during the month why not choose something your friends and family can enjoy and feel good about eating.
This particular arrangement was called the Bootastic Bouquet. It was a classic Halloween fruit arrangement with a fresh twist, featuring ghost-shaped pineapple dipped in white chocolate, bat-shaped pineapple dipped in semisweet chocolate, and cat-shaped pineapple dipped in semisweet chocolate. It’s filled with fresh fruit favorites and is available for a limited time only.
I was really impressed at how fresh the fruit was. All of the fruit was on a kabob making it very easy to eat. The oranges were juicy and easy to peel, the bananas were coated in white chocolate and chilled nicely, the melon was cut in a fun ridge design and the strawberries were bright, plump, firm and red. even the grapes were nice and crunchy.
My kids and the neighbor kids had a blast tasting all of the different varieties of fruit. They especially loved the chocolate covered pineapple bats and ghosts. There was so much leftover fruit that I was able to put some in their lunch the next day for school.
