Fly-n-Fish

I have very fond memories of Newport Beach. I grew up in the neighboring town of Huntington Beach so I spent a lot of time walking the piers of Newport and Huntington. Fresh Seafood was something I learned to eat at a very young age and I still love it now. I enjoy going back to NB and trying all the new seafood restaurants that have popped up.

Fly-N-Fish, which opened in 2012 is located in the heart of the Newport Beach boardwalk and just a short stroll from the pier. Guests can enjoy freshly shucked oysters, seasonal specials and classic creations while watching the sunset in Newport Beach. Fly-N-Fish focuses on sustainable seafood from prominent and responsible purveyors that is brought in fresh daily. Signature dishes include:

  • Maryland Crab Cakes which are pan fried and served with a papaya-mint salsa
  • Pan Seared Diver Scallops wrapped in triple smoked apple wood bacon and served with an achiote aioli
  • Cioppino presented with shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels, calamari, crab and seasonal fish in a zesty red wine sauce
  • New England Clam Chowder served traditional in a traditional creamy style with chopped clams, potatoes and leeks.

Their menu is enhanced with a select listing of wines, craft beers and a full bar.
