Happy Hour at Del Frisco’s Irvine

TIPS FROMSUCCESSFULPEOPLE.

With Christmas just 3 days away and everyone doing last minute shopping, stress levels are at an all-time high. Take a break from the madness and all the crazy crowds and stop in at Del Frisco’s at the Irvine Spectrum to sample some of their select appetizers, signature cocktails and house wine for $6. Happy Hour is offered daily from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Draft beers are also available for $5.

I recently sampled some of these delicious dishes and would love to share them with you.

Del Frisco’s Cocktails

Pineapple

The first drink my friend and I tried was a pineapple infused Martini. It was so fresh and I loved that it wasn’t doused with sugar. It’s served chilled straight up in a tall Martini glass.

The Second drink we shared was a Pomegranate Martini. This drink is similar to a Cosmopolitan but uses pomegranate juice. It is slightly sour but mostly tart and tasty. I think you will love this drink!

Our last drink we sampled was one of my all time favorites, a Moscow Mule. Made with Russian Standard Vodka, Ginger Beer, Fresh Lime Juice,  and Mint, this drink will have you relaxed and smiling in no time!

Del Frisco’s Appetizers

Eating is just as important as drinking so it’s imperative to match up the right food with your drinks. Del Frisco’s has an incredible selection of Happy Hour Appetizers that pair perfectly with all of their selections. Let’s start with the Wagyu Corndogs.

Not only are they visually appealing (they are served on sticks) but they taste fantastic. The crispy corn batter pairs nicely with the tender beef hot dogs and they are served with two dipping sauces.

Next up are the pulled pork nachos.  Wow, these are slightly tangy from the BBQ sauce, but creamy and crunchy too. The flavor combination is really unique and I think this is a crowd pleaser.

My favorite of the night was blue cheese chips. I could have eaten the whole thing by myself. Crispy kettle style potato chips are served  with drizzed blue cheese dressing, blue cheese crumbles, chives and a spicy sriracha sauce. The whole time I was eating these I wanted to hold up a sign that said “Don’t talk to me,  I’m eating”. I can’t wait to come back and order these again!!

Craving something a little lighter? Try the ahi poke tacos. They are served in a crisp wonton shell and lightly coated with a spicy-citrus mayo.

I think the most popular dish of the night, however, were the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls. At first glance, you might ask yourself if that is such a good idea but I assure you it is awesome! Tender pieces of thinly sliced steak are melted in a creamy yellow american cheese with sweet & spicy chili sauce. They are so pretty I was almost afraid to eat one.

The Lollipop chicken wings  are dressed buffalo style and come with avocado ranch dressing. Scared the wings are too messy  and you may get some sauce on your business attire? No need to worry, the lollipop wings come as advertised, lollipop style, with the bone being used as a handle and providing for a less messy encounter.

Dessert

I have no idea how we had any room for dessert but we made some and settled on the 6-layer lemon cake. The slice was huge and even 3 people ould eat this. The people dining next to us said it looked so good they decided to order a slice as well. So save some room for dessert, you won’t be disappointed!
