Be Inspired with PF Chang’s New Summer Cuisine

Summer is a time to try lighter foods and experiment with your palate. If you’ve been to PF Changs you  probably order your favorite menu items  and they will always satisfy you. But a little variety can always enhance the dining experience.

PF Changs recently asked me to try out some of their new entrees off the Chef’s Summer Cuisine at the PF Chang’s at the Irvine Spectrum. It was extremely busy the night I went but our waitress Lindy was incredibly accommodating.  Be sure to see if Lindy is working if you visit this PF Changs.

The first thing that caught my eye on the menu were the rolls. So, I started with a California roll and a Spicy Tuna roll. These rolls were plentiful and packed with flavor. All of the ingredients tasted fresh light.

Next I tried the heirloom tomato and thai basil Salad. This was by far my favorite entree on the menu. This salad is beautiful with it’s bold colors of yellow and orange tomoatoes. It is perfectly paired with ripe avocados and basil leaves and comes with 2 dressings. A thai basil dressing and a zesty asian ponzu dressing.  This dish was light so I still had room for more food.

After reading the description for the red curry prawns I knew i was going to have to try them. I absolutely love seafood and love the fact that the shrimp is served on a bed of chilled noodles. It sounded unique and i can’t say no to any dish that has snow peas in it.

These were BIG prawns too and they were cooked to perfection. The crispy shallots, bean sprouts, and carrots gave it a nice crunch while the cilantro, lime and red curry-peanut sauce gave it quite a kick. The cold noodles balanced it out just right.

I also wanted some meat to go with the shrimp so I ordered one of my favorite dishes-Mongolian beef. I love the  crispy texture of the beef and the way the sauce is slightly spicy.

So the next time you are strolling around at the Irvine Spectrum stop by PF Chang’s and try something new from the Chef’s Summer Cuisine. I can’t wait to go back!
