Tokyo Bento Teriyaki Grill

Today while I was out running errands I stopped at a new place in the Aliso Viejo Town Center called Tokyo Bento. I love Japanese food and was looking forward to a quick bite.

Upon entering I noticed how clean the restaurant was. I also noticed I was the only one in there.

Ordering was easy as the menu is kind of self-explanitory. You can choose meat, chicken or fish. If you are a vegetarian you can pick mushrooms or tofu. I chose the meat (mixed with vegetables), some rice, macaroni salad and cucumbers. The portion were very big.

I found the meat to be a bit on the grissly/fatty side and the flavor was a bit too spicy for me but the cucumbers were good and the macaroni salad was also tasty. TheĀ  price was around $7 so it wasn’t too expensive.

If you enjoy sauces the Tokyo Bento is the place for you. They have one-of-a-kind dipping sauces with inspiration from Peruvian, Thai and American tastes to create a globally-influenced bento like never before.

Tokyo Bento is open from 11am – 9:30pm, 7 Days a Week. For more information visit them on Facebook.
