Boudin’s is heating things up with the addition of three new BBQ Pork menu items! Reminicent of a backyard BBQ these new flavors are loaded with perfectly seasoned, seared and slow-roasted BBQ pork.

The new entrees are as follows:

  • Classic BBQ Pork Sandwich– sweet, savory and traditional
  • Aloha Pork Sandwich– an island-inspired twist on the classic
  • Luau Pork Salad– bright, fresh and infused with ginger and soy flavors

At a recent event, Chef Alan (who I love to watch cook due to his passion) showed us how Boudin’s makes craveable dishes, including sweet and tangy coleslaw that everyone loves!

Up first was the Aloha Pork sandwich! Slow-roasted and hand-pulled pork is slathered with an island-inspired ginger soy barbecue sauce featuring a hint of honey, topped with house-made caramelized pineapple, tangy pickled red onion, and fresh-chopped cilantro, served hot on a garlic-buttered, toasted sourdough baguette.

Next was the Classic BBQ Pork SandwichSlow-roasted and hand-pulled pork tossed in sweet and savory barbecue sauce topped with crunchy house made coleslaw, served hot on a garlic-buttered, toasted sourdough baguette.

It seems unfair that Boudin’s has a bread advantage being that they bake their own sourdough there, but there is just something so satisfying about a crunchy sandwich roll that has had delicious pulled pork nestled on it. It’s drool worthy!

Finally we tasted Luau Pork Salad: A mix of spring greens and cabbage topped with warm, slow-roasted pulled pork tossed in ginger soy barbecue, caramelized pineapple and tangy pickled red onion made in house, fresh-chopped cilantro, crunchy red bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots, and toasted almonds served with a zesty ginger soy barbecue vinaigrette.

This was my favorite one because it packed a flavorful punch but still was light enough for a quick dinner full of protein.

Here is Chef Alan showing everyone how they make their amazing coleslaw. I loved the sweet and tangy combination with a crunch!
