Bad to the Bone BBQ
There are three things that make up great BBQ: large helpings, tender meat, and delicious sauces. Orange County has surprisingly few BBQ restaurants, but we recently dined at one in San Juan Capistrano that I had never been to before and I would love to tell you about it. Bad to the Bone features strong flavors and succulent meats that will have any meat lover in a state of euphoria.
Bad to the Bone Location
Tucked away in the center of a strip mall off the 5 freeway, Bad to the Bone may be a little difficult to find but the restaurant is extremely spacious and has an awesome rustic decor that makes you feel like you’re on a ranch somewhere in the Midwest.
Bad to the Bone Interior
With 14 TV’s and a digital beer menu Bad to the Bone is a great place to come if you want to catch a game and enjoy some good ole’ fashioned BBQ and a beer with some friends. In 2007, they expanded their restaurant and now it seats 140-150 people and there is live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
Bad to the Bone Food

All of their ribs are basted 30 minutes prior to being finished so that they can caramelize which gives you that delicious flavor.
During our tasting, we had a variety of different meats and side dishes. All of them were delicious and left me feeling full and satisfied. I especially enjoyed the garlic bashed potatoes and brisket. Other side dishes include:
