New Culinary Concepts at the OC Mix

Get all of your shopping and dining done in one place this summer – The OC MIx. Located within Costa Mesa’s SoCo and home to locally owned boutiques and specialty food spots, their mantra is to shop and eat locally.  Two innovative culinary concepts will be opening this fall.

Hand Roll Shop Temakira

The popular hand roll shop, Temakira, will be opening its second Orange County restaurant  location at The OC Mix this October. The space is currently undergoing a renovation to serve the unique, freshly-made custom and original hand rolls, salads, appetizers, kid’s combos and much more. The restaurant will be fast-casual, featuring a sushi hand roll bar, and will serve beer, wine and sake to attract late night traffic inside The OC Mix. Take out options will also be available for local businesses and people on-the-go.

Farm & Culture Co

Farm & Culture Co. is also going to be making a bold impact at The OC Mix with an impressive roster of tenants inside The OC Mix. Opening this fall, the concept will be the first kombucha and broth bar in Orange County and will be located next to Shuck. Health enthusiasts will revel in the organic broth bar (think toppings like cultured butter, turmeric, and miso) as well as fermented vegetables, yogurts, and chef-driven kombucha flavors. Farm & Culture Co. owner Claudia Stubin has secured Head Culturist Chad Huniu, previously of Seabirds, to create the menu and recipes. The bottled goods will be available to enjoy inside the store as well as to-go.

ST Glace

Chef Stephane Treand is also excited to launch ST Glace, scooping delicious, authentic gelato and sorbets in addition to his current ST Patisserie offerings – more details are below.
Later this year, Chef Treand will be opening a new concept at The OC Mix – ST Chocolat. The space will have great selection of handmade French chocolate confections and more. Flavors at ST Glace will include the following:
  • Tahitian Gold Vanilla Gelato
  • Passion Fruit / Mango Sorbet
  • Pistachio Gelato
  • Hazelnut Praliné Gelato
  • Lemon / Kalamansi Sorbet
  • Salted Caramel gelato
  • Coffee gelato
  • Chocolate ( Valrhona Guanaja) Gelato
  • Raspberry and Cassis Sorbet in the back
