Tangata Wine Dinners at Bowers Museum

Wouldn’t it be awesome to combine art and dinner? Well now you can at Tangata at Bowers Museum.  Tangata is hosting three prix-fixe fall wine dinners on October 18th, November 15th and December 12th, with each menu themed after special exhibits and art displays taking place at the Santa Ana art destination during Bowers After Hours, a special offering reserved for diners to visit the special exhibitions, art displays and shopping in the gallery store after the regular museum hours, from 5:00-9:00p.m.

The October 18th menu is  inspired by the culinary-rich region of Oaxaca, Mexico

Art DisplayMata Ortiz- Mexico’s pre-Hispanic pottery, celebrated for its intricate and precise design.

The November 15th menu is inspired by Campania, Italy with the freshest from land and sea

Exhibit: God & Giftsthe largest Vatican collection to be on loan, this exhibit explores diverse religious beliefs through art and artifacts that span the ages and the globe.

The December 12th menu is inspired by French winter classics with a twist

Exhibit: A Quest for Beauty- The Art of Van Cleef and Arpels, a high jewelry maison with a history that spans over 100 years at the illustrious Place Vendome.

Queso Fundido con Hongos

Melted Oaxacan cheese with grilled mushrooms

served with warm flour tortillas

Pork Barbacoa con Chile Verde

Slow-braised pork compressed with a chile verde glaze

sprinkled with dry mole de pipian and micro cilantro

Milk chocolate cinnamon-spiced flan with warm crispy churros
